    Off the Grid In Tennessee
Just wondering we were in Boone Grove over the weekend for a graduation party. Seems as if several businesses are gone, I mean like long time businesses such as Strong Bow Inn, Courtyard on 30 now a Quality Inn. Hard to believe things have changed so much in a little over two years.

Strong Bow is now a banquet hall I think. The bakery might still be there as well.

Small brick and mortars struggle. Retail wise even mainstays like marsh went under. (Never shopped at marsh)
small mom and pop better offer something better than everywhere else.

I would think it is a national problem compounded both in areas of large growth and small declines in population. Where the numbers don't change greatly it seems to be easier.

The Mayor, was on WIBC, tonite, on Hammer & Nigel,

talking about how there were a LOT less empty,

Business buildings, in the Grove .....

I don't get over there much, Wal Mart scares me,

so I stay away, unless meeting another INGOer, at Lows, for a sale .....
