Standing with family in line to buy admittance/tickets into one of the highest concentrations of nerds I've ever seen (Bristol Renaissance Faire), when I spy something familiar.

There, ahead of me and a few lines over, was a tall bearded man wearing a khaki-colored ball cap.

On that cap was embroidered "INGO"!

A fellow INGOer in the wild! TWO states away from Indiana!

After he had paid his admittance, he walked back towards me affording an opportunity to really freak him out. I stepped over, tapped his shoulder, and asked what his INGO screen name was. He was indeed taken aback a little until I introduced myself as "ATM".

And once we entered this humongous Ren Faire, I never saw him again.

So, INGO'er Eric001 - it was nice to meet you the other day!

Also - the above is a lie. I told him my real screen name. "CountryBoy19".

Wait. As many as 4 INGOers. At a ren faire. In Wisconsin.

That has to be the buildup to a fantastic f'n joke.

    Cool story.

I'd love to wear an INGO hat, but my vows to the Order of the Brotherhood of Graymen precludes it. :shady:

How many INGOers does it take to screw in a lightbulb at a ren faire in Wisconsin?

None, its a ren faire. They don't have lightbulbs. They were there for the damsels.

Was too lazy to start a thread like this when we got back home Sunday after a mere 5.5 hour drive from Madison. Yep, I was amazed to get to meet TF in Wisconsin of all places. I was kind of sad we never ran into each other inside the renfaire to compare notes and maybe even actually get a chance to chat, but that place is HUGE.

And yep, I saw a buncha gals that make the world go 'round... and quite a few that should have caused ocular diabetes. Also saw some folks in really nice armor wandering about--nice, expensive, and HOT armor. I'm not fond of either of those last two, so though I'm fascinated by authentic or authentic-looking armor, I guess I'll just have to observe rather than own it.

And this time we managed to get out of there without buying anything expensive--last time I was up there I ended up coming back with a double-bladed battle axe that I still need to make a harness for so I can attend future ren's in more style.

Was great to (briefly) get to meet ya, TF--hope you and yours had fun up there as well!!
