"Mark Pinnavaia, the owner of a neighboring auto electronics store, said that just before officers arrived he jumped in his car, drove across a grassy strip and hit the gunman, who flew over the vehicle and landed on the ground."

    Best part of the story!

Pump action ARs exist because California, etc. Nobody really wants one, it's just a way to comply with their goofy laws.

The second way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a car.

Moms demand common sense car control.

Joe Biden says "He shouldn't have had a car with an automatic transmission.

Nope. The Troy I posted was designed for hunters in states that don't allow semi auto rifles for hunting. Like Pennsylvania, etc.

...which is what I said. They exist to comply with goofy laws imposed by California, etc. Who would buy a pump AR if a semi was legal for their place/purpose?

Nobody needs a vehicle with more than 45 hp. A (vintage) VW Beetle can reach highway speeds so that's enough for anyone!

    (Note: I have one...as well as a V8 Firebird and I've auto-crossed both)

The pump action AR I do believe Remington was making one. Used AR mags and looked black rifle ish. Now the future of them would be up to the buying public. If they did not sell then they would not be made long. I can see a person such as myself who grew up using a wingamster pump shotgun and Remington rifles in pump format liking the idea of a pump AR mag rifle. If you always had used a pump then the rifle working the same in shotgun high power deer rifle and high power 22 caliber rifle with say the old pump 22 LR. Four guns all using the same action safety placemaent ect would have advantages to many .
