We may be in the minority, but the Wife and I enjoy fruitcake.

Being that we are all nuttier than autistic squirrels, liking fruitcake is considered "normal" in our household.

At the risk of fracturing an already minority, is this the dried fruit spicy fruitcake or the dayglo spongy fruitcake? :dunno:

Fruitcake is one of my favorite Good Eats episode.

As long as it is not English frosted fruitcake, either of the above are approved for Yuletide consumption.

At the risk of exposing my Appalachian Porch Honky roots, my favorite is the little rectangular fruitcake blocks sold at Wal-Mart or Meijer.

There is a bakery somewhere in TX that my grandad used to order fruitcake from. Best I've ever eaten.

I immediately thought of Christmas at grandma's house. I remember it being from Texas too. My grandpa used to drive there from Indiana to buy cattle.

Fruitcake and a big bourbon on the rocks is a favorite desert of mine.

That sounds wonderful. I have bourbon, just need to go buy some fruitcake.

Another holiday treat is egg nog made with Kaluha, even better than whiskey.
