A good friend and shooting buddy passed away last night.
Completely unexpected, no illness, just gone.

Daryl was one of my favorite people to shoot with, or even talk about shooting.
Daryl was legally blind, and one of the best marksman I've ever seen.
At self defense ranges, Daryl could out shoot about 99% of everyone I know.
He would flat astonish people at the range.

A good man, a great shot, and a wonderful sense of humor.'
You will be missed Daryl. R.I.P. my friend.

Sorry for your loss. Did he have a favorite charity or cause?

I don't know for sure if he had a favorite charity or not.
I do know he was my guest this past year at the FNRA banquet here in Lafayette and commented several times how much he enjoyed the event. He even pre-ordered tickets for this years event.

I will ask his wife about a charity.
She asked me to stop by and see her in the next couple of days.

Sorry for your loss. When the right time comes, I would like to hear more about this man. I think fellas like that are few and far between

You noted he was legally blind, so his shooting prowess must have been the result of a lot of hard work, a life time perhaps of dedication, or both. It would likely do him proud to tell us a bit about his life.

    My condolences.
