Hey guys, We think someone stopped and picked up one of our dogs last night. We were out with them and the one thats missing is very friendly , would have ran up to a car if they stopped when they saw him in the front yard. He is a mini poodle and black/charcoal in color. About 15-17 pounds and intact male. He is microchipped and his name is sylar. He was taken/last seen in the Eden area, just off of st rd 9 and st rd 234, just north east of the IMI concrete office. My wife (magolin) has already posted everywhere else, contacted the humane society and called several vets in the area. We have also notified the neighbors and the woman that has a grooming buisiness of troy road. Any info that speeds his return home would be great.

    Thanks in advance guys

I thought the chips could let you know the location of the dog. Are they just used by the animal shelter to identify the dog when it has been found?

Yes they are basically an electronic ID. The vet or whoever has a machine that scans for a chip and an ID number pops up then they have to go to a database to see who the registered owner of the microchip is.
