I was in Baltimore for business this week and had some free time one afternoon. If you are ever in the area I recommend stopping by the Inner Harbor and checking out the Historic Ships of Baltimore Museum. They have four different ships you can tour for 18 dollars. The US Sloop-of-War Constellation, the US Submarine Torsk, the US Coast Guard Cutter Taney, and the Lightship Chesapeake. The Torsk was on display but the interior was closed due to electrical issues. Being an old Army vet I haven't had much exposure to ships and found the tours to be extremely interesting.

    Here are some photos:

    Ships/subs are nice to visit.
But not as nice when you spend your life on them for a few years.

    Nice pictures.

Yes, I can understand that. Touring the ships helps a "land lover" like me to at least start to imagine what that might be like. I would probably be prone to sea sickness. :):

I think everyone should take a tour of a submarine in order to comprehend how “crazy” submarine guys are.
A full tour and eating dinner is enough the dudes sleep in drawers and on top of torpedoes.
The only place I felt normal was the mess hall it was kind of open.
They kept calling me an “air breather” it’s not a compliment!

I could handle a tour but I wouldn't want to actually go on a cruise in one of those things. I have respect for those of you that have. :yesway:
