Good luck....IMHO I would not poke the bear.....I waited with baited breath for Church's response to my General...Patton's Colt SAA thread.....He was okay with it because he got the built in satire and there was meat to the story in the sale of a firearm that belonged to a famous General.....

    So good luck....:)

To be fair the equivalent naval rank to a General is an Admiral. I'd stay with an O10 and go with Admiral, but that's just me.

That I would need to explain................:faint:

The issue stems from a newer member labeling every thread "General".
When questioned as to why he said because he can talk about anything he wants to.
Well.....no. We have well defined sub-forums for topics. The topic of the thread needs to be in Bold at the beginning. We tend to go off the rails anyway but not from the get.

There is no ban on the Word General.

So when you fill out your tax return and include all that income you get from being a mod, do you list your profession as "Cat Herder"?

To me, the use of official is more irritating. After having dozens of threads on some topic, someone suddenly declares that they have created the official thread for that topic. Always seemed a bit narcissistic.
