That's sweet... but wouldn't that act kinda like a heat shield and hold heat in around the intake manifold, reducing power?

I always wanted a TKO 5 speed for my Camaro, heard mixed reviews on them, and back when I was a wrench I seen a grand total of zero TKO transmissions, so I never got the chance to try one out.

hope they got the kinks worked out on them by now tho

Remote coil packs, pretty valve covers, and a carb’d intake do wonders for those engines.

Example: this engine without the port injection

Yes those mods bring the appearance around to a more pleasant level but part of what makes those packages run is the injection. More manageable. Pulls hard from the drop.

My 08 TBSS runs just fine on 93 pump + AWD. I know it's not in a horrid but a production vehicle but it's all I have. I have CAI, 'sport tune' , stainless Walker exhaust...

Oh I can not knock the LS series at all. Just to well designed and built.

    Thread jack alert.
I am an old school kind of guy (:oldwise:)
I have a soft spot for BB Chev. as well.
Well north of 700 HP and ran 3 seasons of insane bracket racing every weekend sometimes 2 races a weekend.
I did the valve springs just because. I re-freshed it when I sold it and it had another season left in it from the looks of things.
