I guess I'm going to be "that guy", but I'm at my saturation point with Star Wars. After The Last Jedi Turd Fest, I just can't get excited for another movie. Maybe 'Han Solo' can restore my faith in the franchise, but I'm not holding my breath. There really hasn't been much sizzle around that film. . .at least when compared to all the others.

Early reports are it isn't being responded well to at Cannes.

Yeah, I think Disney plans to milk this franchise for all it's worth. Unfortunate... some things are much better left alone.

"Solo" is not exactly the type of "film" the audiences at Cannes normally gush over.

Perhaps they would like it more if it was shot in black and white and only had one character who spent the entirety of the film in a studio apartment contemplating whether or not to hang themselves.

I heard a middling review on it yesterday. Basically said there were parts where you could tell that a director change over occurred while filming, and that the first third of the movie was pretty slow in building character, etc. They did say that the actor portraying Lando did a good job and that a Lando movie should be expected.

I'll probably wait a bit to see it.

So the question is....Will Kut update his avatar, abandoning the Lando of his youth? Or will he embrace the new Lando as his avatar?

Should be interesting to see play out.....:)

The fact that I own the movie "The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars and Motor Kings" should answer your question.

I'm surprised that the thing the reference from above was taken (the modern one) hasn't shown up on INGO. I wasn't going to put it up, because of the ****storm that was sure to ensue. So membership can thank me for that.

Back when I worked at a small coffee shop in Greenwood... one of the regular customers became very good friends with the owners, and came in all the time to gossip.

He was apparently Billy Dee Williams' personal assistant. Told a lot of stories.

He was a very white and very gay man. Funny guy. Stayed there for hours.

Sometimes best to avoid the unavoidable. You should see the stuff I don't post on INGO.

WHY in the hell they didn't have Billy Dee Williams as Lando in The Last Jedi was an epic missed opportunity.
He was a major part of the rebellion. Old gambler/code breaker on CantoBight.
The entire casino subplot would have worked, Finn and Lando could have saved the fleet, they didn't need Admiral SJW mucking about.

They just tried too hard to give everyone the finger for the sake of being "different".

You're not alone. I'm convinced Disney is going to destroy whatever life the franchise had left.
