Spent my day in a KC-135

I got to go on a refueling mission with the Air Force Reserve unit stationed at Grissom AFB. I got to lay in the boom pod and watch an aerial refueling of a B1. It was very cool! Much better than spending the day at work.

The boom operator was maybe 5' tall and 95 lbs sopping wet. I'm 6'7" 250. She fit a little better than I did.

We were 40' apart at 22,000 feet, somewhere over Mississippi. And they made it look easy.

Correct. I was excited to hear it would be a B1. Not that it wouldn't have been cool with another aircraft, but that just added to the experience.
