Needs a new hobby. Assuming the truth of the allegations, will also need a new job.

In the department’s defense for hiring him, that’s not really the kind of thing that comes up in a background investigation.

    I said “comes up.”

Let's keep in mind that the presumption of innocence should apply here, as always. It would be a shame for us to go off half cocked.

Question: What do you do when your off duty?

Answer: Just hang around. Letting it all hang out.

And how many on INGO are currently sans pants?

And how many on INGO are currently sans pants?

I Thought I read in the rules that it is a requirement to be pantsless?

If not, that could explain the reaction to the crowd at McDonalds when I used their hotspot to surf INGO the other day. :dunno:

And it would also explain why many content filters block INGO. They dont want pantsless surfers in their businesses. It all makes sense now.

One would hope that our public servants would rise to the standards of their profession. In light of this regrettable incident, one hopes local governments will begin to act prophelaptically, and ask those who would erect themselves as society's shields what sort of exposure they might subject their employers to vis a vis litigation arising from puffing themselves up with their off duty issuances.

There was a doc in my residency who was accused of doing that. He was an attending but not our faculty as he was family practice. Sounded very legit accusations.

    From the PCSD:

On the afternoon of Thursday June 7th 2018, the Porter County Sheriff’s Office was called to Pleasant Valley Mobile Home Community, in regards to a male subject exposing himself to an adult female while asking for directions. The victim was able to obtain a plate for the suspect vehicle, a silver passenger car, and provided a description of the male suspect. Porter County Sheriff’s Officers responded to the area and quickly developed suspect information. The investigating Officers then responded to the residence of the suspect based on plate information and immediately observed a Porter County Sheriff’s Office squad car in the driveway and recognized the last name to be associated with one of our own Officers. The Officers then made contact with John Morris, who stated he was the only one that had driven the suspect vehicle, in question that day. The same vehicle that matched the description provided by the victim and the same plate number. Morris and the investigating officers then reported to the Porter County Sheriff’s Office and Morris met with our Detectives. As Detectives spoke with Morris, it was determined he was involved in the Pleasant Valley incident and possibly related to other incidents throughout the county. Our Detectives immediately contacted Valparaiso Police Department and handed over the investigation.

On Friday morning June 8th, Mr. Morris was called to station to meet with the Administrative Command Staff and he was immediately relieved of his position and terminated from the Porter County Sheriff’s Office. To clarify, Morris was off duty, in his own personal vehicle and made no mention or affiliation of his position as a police officer or his place of employment during the incident.
