I've been a renter all my life, but I just recently found a house at a price that is too good to pass up. The problem is that it needs a complete remodel. I started asking friends about general contractors they know, but I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to ask here too. Does anyone have a suggestion on the best way to find a good general contractor?

I am a general contractor who mainly does Roofing & Siding. I wish you were closer, I love doing renovations. I would come to Monroe County to roof a house, since I can complete most in a day....but a renovation could take weeks to complete. Good luck finding someone down your way who can help you out.

Thanks! Nothing has been finalized yet, but if everything works out, I'm going to have a nice sized project on my hands, at least me anyways.
