Did some much needed support installation for the tomatoes, now I have a 5 Gallon bucket full of green tomatoes which were at the base of plants. Anyone ever make green tomato salsa? Hate to see them go to waste.

You can do it... would recommend cutting and blanching them first.

    Green tomatoes are excellent fried!

As long as you've got them, give it a go!

Yup. Tried them for the first time last year and was very surprised.

We have a crap load of green ones on the vine.People want me to pick some so they can do the FGT thing. I do for some folks but to me that is just a waste of a soon to be jiucy ripe red mater ready to eat. Salt shaker in hand and walk out and get one.......

OP.....I understand there is a lot you can do with those as they are already off the vine.

yes we made a small batch last night, slow news night lol. Turned out great, we are going to do a larger batch later and can it. Also one of my wife's prepper blog friend says she slices them freezes them and the dips them in eggs and bread crumbs, and then frys.
