    Howdy guys and gals,

My buddy and I are thinking about going duck hunting for the first time this year. My friend has experience hunting dear and I do not have any. We know that we have to hunt on state parks and that there is a drawing to see who hunts everyday. Our other option is private land. I have connections with a few local farmers.

I know that tags are a must. Could you guys offer any advice?
    1) Where can we get tags?
    2) Is a hunter safety course mandatory?
    3) When is the best time of day to go?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

    1. Easiest is the DNR website, can get your hunting license andduck stamps online and simply print them off.
    2. I believe the rule is if you are born after 12/31/1986 the hunter education is required. It is now offered as an online class.
    3. I prefer mornings but ducks seem to be active all day long. I see quite a few active ducks on my way home from work around 6:00 right now.
