Checked on my boat after this rain yesterday and noted the cabin light was leaking electrical fluid. Not sure how that happened. When I removed the light cover all the electrical fluid spilled out. I looked everywhere and could not find a fill line indicator. Also had no luck finding marine-grade electrical fluid for a 12v system

    any help appreciated :ingo:

That’s actually marine 12 volt fluid-it has to be collected on a rainy cloudless day.

There is no difference between marine 12V fluid and automotive 12V fluid. It's all just marketing.

Pick up a bottle of blinker fluid from autozone and you'll be good to go.

One you get it refilled you need to test your system with an outlet load tester.

This is important to determine if you have the proper voltage.

If you can rewire it into a loop, you can use ac voltage fluid as it can go back and forth then. It’s usually cheaper.

Should be able to find it right with blinker fluid. If its leaking that bad the seal around the finnigan pin may have failed inside the conuter valve.
For best results I would recomend stepping up to a full synthetic electrical fluid

I wouldn't worry too much about leaking electrical fluid, we deal with it almost daily at work. The real problems start when you let all of the smoke out of the wires!:n00b:
