Did a pork loin today at 300F. It’s stuffed with blue cheese, apples, onions, and garlic. Wrapped in bacon I made a few weeks ago. It’s resting now but I want to eat it NOW.

Tasted good too! Was my first attempt at stuffing pork loin. Tried to cut it flat but struggled a little and then getting it wrapped up again was tough. I had the elastic bands instead of string, I think string would have held it tighter

I had heard Costco sold good frozen pizza dough but sadly no

It may sound strange but if you don't want to make your own call the local pizza places. Some will sell just the raw dough. I did it for my sons b-day party, he wanted make your own pizzas and I didn't have time to make the dough. Someone said call around... I'd never have thought of it myself. The first place I called told me sure, iirc it was something like $.25 or maybe $.50 for a small.

    New year, new title.

Kroger has Whole Pork Shoulder $.99/lb this week.

It's always awesome when my wife says "If I buy this, will you smoke it for me?"

Also, if anyone see's salmon at a killer deal, let me know. I haven't smoked any for a couple years, but am hankerin' for a smoked salmon cheese ball. I'll share the recipe if and when I can find it.

Anymore if it's just the family, I don't even buy buns anymore. It barely makes it to a plate. Someone got impatient before the rest in the cooler and snagged a few pieces .

About a week ago, now, MontereyC6 gave my family and I about 2lbs of rubbed/smoked pulled pork. Oh. My. It's so good.

We've been eating on it for days and days...

I'd just as soon not put any sauce on it, but once it gets reheated in the microwave, it dries out a bit so I've put some on for moisture. Certainly doesn't need any for taste!

With the spring like weather, I told the wifey to pick up a pork shoulder. She came home with a "pork ribeye roast" that proudly displayed a "certified lean" sticker.:n00b:

Not exactly ideal, but we made due. Shoulda pulled it the second it hit 190, but let it hold there for a half hour. It easily pulled apart with a fork, but juuuuuuuust starting to get a little dry.

If your are reheating a bigger amount, put it in a covered Dutch oven or other pan and pour a little apple juice over it. Put the burner on low and in no time you will be good to go.

That's how I eat it. Straight off the grill, no sauce. Nuked, a dash of Carolina style sauce.

I have never liked "red" sauces on pulled pork, but I tried my goto rib sauce on my latest batch, Pappy's Moonshine Madness. It has amazing flavor, but holy hell is it hot.:n00b:

When in a rush to feed 4 people...including 2 (yes, we only have 2... :-) ) kids - microwave it is.
