On the newsworthy side of things, at least 14 killed, and it looks like it was 4 terrorists who used a combination of rifles, grenades, bombs, and suicide bombs.

On the lighter side, those tank mains are SO slow....

Pretty cool review, including 3D animation, of the attack.

Importantly, the BBC included a line about how armed civilians assisted police forces.

That was an good video. Sounded like Kenyan police/military response to this was much better than back when the mall was attacked...although room for improvement.
Interesting tidbit: guy slid mattress towards foot a bit, laid down in space created at head, and covered himself with pillows. I'd rather be shooting back, but given the circumstances, this was a clever hideout.

By chance I just re-read The Siege: 68 Hours Inside the Taj Hotel this past weekend. This is a very good account of the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai in 2008. It covers Lashkar's preparation for the attacks, the ...peculiar...involvement of Pakistani-American David Headley/Daoud Gilani, the lack of preparation by the Mumbai authorites, and lot of minute by minute accounts of the victims of the attack. Highly recommend reading it.
