While eating at the Bedford Golden Corral, I observed two employees take the same nasty rags that they were wiping the tables with, and use them to wipe the UNDERSIDE of all of the sneeze guards above the food. Then, they used the same rags to wipe off all of the heat lights ABOVE the food. Who knows what fell off of the rags onto the food. Does anyone else think this is a health code violation? I thought it was pretty disgusting. I wrote the manager of the store, and he didn't even have the courtesy to respond to my letter. Then I wrote the Golden Corral corporate office, and received no response. I guess reporting it to the Health Department is my next step.

I tend to avoid buffet style restraunts myself. Who the heck knows who touched what or sneezed all over the food. I'll pass

Reminds me of the moronic lady behind me (thank God) in line at Qdoba last night. She kept asking "whats THAT?" as she leaned up and over the plexiglass barrier, resting her forearm on top of it, dangling her finger about 8" directly above the open containers.

Golden Corral is nothing but a feed trough, and generally not as clean as one. Your first mistake was even entering the establishment.

You should be happy that someone was actually cleaning stuff. There is a reason those glass panels are called Sneeze Guards and there is no way I want to rely on one to stop a sneeze over food I plan to eat.

I thought it was pretty disgusting.

Then you would be really disgusted by what you don't see happening.

My choice would be to relax and build a robust immune system. If you look hard enough, you can find "problems" everywhere. I choose not to.

My Aunt Carol, rest her soul, used to call GC "the hog trough".

Last time I ate there, I looked around and noted that the average body weight of the customers was probably 300 lbs, and people were probably eating 3-4 times what they needed to eat. (Not that I'm judging, because I'm not a small girl myself.)
