Anybody here clean drain lines? Or recommend someone on the Southside of Indy/Greenwood?
and while we’re at it, interesting to see how many of you (if any) know what Orangeburg pipe (I think that’s the correct spelling) is?

Orangeburg Pipe = Wood Fiber Drain pipe.
That’s more like it. It’s oil impregnated and it’s a ***** once roots or a half assed drain cleaning company (pronounced Roto-Rooter) break through it. Worse yet when the piece is only about 20’ long, under a concrete slab and deck so about impossible to “pipe burst” it.

Our main line used to back up and give us trouble once a year due to roots. We always used Lee's drain service. He was good about running the machine multiple times using different size cutters to get things flowing again. We've used some of the larger companies before but they would only use the smallest cutter to poke a hole in the blockage. And two of the big companies required having someone else come out and run a camera in the main.

We had our main replaced in sections (two). The first time was a collapsed pipe two months after we bought the house. The big company wanted 12k to do a small section near the street. $500 of their 12k quotr was for blue poly tarps to put the dirt on. They wanted to keep the dirt out of the grass.
I found another company much better priced.
