What are you guys cooking tonight?

We are having porterhouses, roasted brussel sprouts and a sourdough boule. Normally we would have a nice cabernet to go with this but since the wife is pregnant I risk bodily harm if I open a bottle so some Belgian trippels it is.

We just finished up filet and homemade double baked potatoes on the grill. Along with some corn and salads to go with. Went the easy route on bread and had some Hawaiian rolls.

Ribs for me. Macaroni, tomatoes, and hotdogs (or, as I like to call it, **** in a pot) for the wife and kids. Seriously, anyone else eat that crap?

    You mean her cooking vessel...????

I have not the foggiest. I rolled in the door when it was on the slab cut and ready to eat.....:)

We did a homemade pizza in the cast iron skillet a few months ago. It was pretty good especially with the thicker crust along the bottom. I suppose it wouldn't take much to make it a bit thicker and lower the cooking temp.

She has a deep oven pan that looks like the same material a crock would be made from. Can't remember the brand but she has a few things from them.
The deep iron sounds yummy. I bet the crust was to die for.

We had barbecued chuck roast and onion garlic taters.
    Sirloins tomorrow.

Tonight was the first time in going on eight years that the cat ever hit me up for some barbecue. Well bless her heart I'll make sure she gets her cut of the action.

I grew up eating macaroni & tomatoes. When you have little money that is a pretty good meal. Hot dogs were for the rich. I still like it 60 years later.
