Back in April of 2010 when I bought my roadster (Honda S2000) I joined a National Car Club called S2KCA.
I had so much fun, like on this forum, posting and asking questions and learning about this car.
I went on several drives with S2KCA in IN, KY & OH and even one National drive.
It was very cool to meet people you had been chatting with online with for months and even years.

I haven't been active for the past 2-3 yrs. but I'm going to Cinci Friday & Saturday for what we call a Tech Day and we change out fluids and other maintenance in an airplane hanger at a small airport.

I was invited to come Cincinnati again even though I've been away for the past 2 yrs. b/c of scheduling conflicts.
It has been great connecting with some old friends and I look forward to it.

    Nice! Always loved S2k’s.

My son never got to drive my roadster much but when he decided to buy a sports car (after having a Honda del sol and a Toyota Scion tc), we drove everything.
He was around 29 at the time, and we hunted for 3 weekends.
He drove my S2000 while we were looking and he started to realize why I had bought one.
    Short story: he bought one.

Unlike his 22's, doddg found a car he could keep long term:). It is a very nice looking car too, very stylish.

    Now that was funny!
It is a classic cut: timeless.
They keep their value since production ended, if you have one unmolested.
I just wanted a convertible. :dunno:

    Cancelled: bummer.
But, rainy and in the 40s does take the fun out of car work even with an airplane hanger.
Be more fun when it warms up.
They'll reschedule in a week of two or more if needed.
When I do go I'll get some good pics for those of you who have never seen two S2000s at the same time.

    Good! Rescheduled for May 4th.
Always nice getting the engine oil, tranny fluid and differential fluids all changed and fresh with Amsoil.
June 14th (last day of work) I hope to take my new fluids for a drive with S2KCA club members in Marietta, OH: hours of "twisties" which this car is made for, with a couple of good meals and fellowship.

At lunken field? I work at the big hangar there. Watch your speed on Columbia lol

    That's the one.
Been going there for years, unless there is a scheduling issue.
Thanks for the tip on Columbia!
When I'm out of town driving a roadster, I'm very aware of keeping the speed in check.

Between landslides, steel plates and cops it has gotten pretty treacherous

    They canceled again.
I wasn't going anyway since this weekend didn't work for me.

Life is going to get busier for me with school coming to an end in 6 weeks.
Principal asked me to do the Commencement Speech for the graduating class: my idea of fun.
Only my 2nd one I've done in my teaching career.
When younger, I traveled some, speaking to teens at Church camps and other youth meetings, with alot of teaching songs also: a fun time in my life in my mid to late 20s.
One of my favorite teachers told me today that I only have 5 weeks left to prepare.
I told him I could do it tonight. Part of the talk I gave recently in a 10 week class to some adults about impactful life events.
I feel like I have lived about 5 lifetimes so such things are easy for me.
I added that I've already gone through my material twice trimming it down, since evidently no one wants a 2 hour speech. :dunno:
The usual inspirational speech about people who have overcome great obstacles and even b/c of them became very successful.
    The title will be: "Hope."
