This thread will be for all thing big rigs. Trucks, trips, equipment, maintenance, road kill, etc. Anything and everything a trucker deals with.
Here is my daily driver. 2018 KW 680. 550 horse X15 Cummins with an Eaton Ultra shift + 13 speed auto. 3:90 gears. 14,000 lb steer axle. The trailer is a 2017 Polar. 5 compartments totalling 13,400 gallon capacity. It's set up with 3 lift axles. Empty weight for the combo is 40,500 lbs.
GVW is 129,000. I'm usually right around 126,000 lbs loaded. I stay mostly in Michigan but with a permit, I can run selected routes in Indiana. Mainly South Bend to Gary.
We also run tri-axle trailers (100,000 lbs GVW). They are 11,500 gallons.
We also run the standard tandem trailers.
