    Best wishes, Dave.
Been home bound before with busted ribs and once with a broke foot.
    Not fun!

I loved not having to work a bunch of hours on sick leave.

I DID NOT love the million doc appointments.
    the million copays
Not being able to drive ANYWHERE.
And the fact that I kept falling over and hurting myself.

The time off... that was GREAT.

I was recovering from surgery, the doctor asked how I was doing, I told him I was loosing my mind...

He asked if I was bored, and I said it was worse than that,
I was looking forward to Dr. Phil..... and he let me go back to work!

HE said, Dr. Phil was second to last step, once you start watching Ophra there was no saving you! ;)

Hope you get out & about soon!

I tore my medial gastrocnemius in my right calf. Achilles tendon is fine so no surgery.
I'm gimping around pretty good for an old grandpa but ready to go back to fabricating.

Was off 14 weeks after having my bicep tendon repaired. Should have been 16 weeks but Doc okayed it after I told him I was starting to like being off work after 13 weeks and summer was starting up. Learned the hard way I should have taken the extra 2 weeks off and toughed it out.

Had the same injury back in December ‘10 except it was my left calf. Happened at work. Sounded and felt like a big rubber band snapped. POP!!.

Needless to say I was on workmen’s comp after that. Ended up being laid up for 21 months. All of 2011 and about half of 2012 because of complications from being laid up. I eventually returned to work after a long stretch.

Good luck with your continued recovery and just try to stay as active as possible. That’s what led to my compilations.

Yep, that describes what my bicep did. It was hurting for a while after wrestling with my son. I ignored it until. Pop. Trying to get a car unstuck after ice storm. A week after surgery had to get X-rays, the tech was twisting my arm around, acted like I was big baby, I thought much more I gonna pass out. I told my physical therapist how much it hurt. He said he going to talk to Dr about it. The Dr asked me about it and said he was not happy at all with someone messing up his work. I was lucky I didn’t have to through surgery again.

Not to brag but I have had 18 back procedures, 3 shoulder operations and 1 neck fusion plus military injuries. I am sooo over surgeries. My cervical area is toast. I keep falling apart. Anyone have any superglue?

I went through school in the 60s-70s...
Flying cars, jet packs and bionic bodies were just "A couple years away".

    WHAT HAPPENED?!?
I could most certainly use that bionic spine about now!
Lots of metal, no 'Bionics', what could be hardware store screws, brackets & rods.
More like carpentry than 'Bionics'. :(

I feel like my first car looked, spit balls, bailing wire, duct tape & super glue....

I've exceeded the 5 million dollars requirements for my bionics. I have cobalt alloy, titanium and stainless hardware. No super human strength, just Viagra.
