Old news but I didn't get a hit on INGO for Torstar when I did the search.
Long story short- Many of the most popular internet gun forums are owned by a Canadian anti gun leftist media company.
Makes me glad we have TexKev as our owner.

Yep. Anti gunners are also heavily invested in gun companies. They arent total idiots.

    Step 1: Invest in company
Step 2: push to ban things the company makes, causing panic buying.
    Step 3: Profit

    List of forums:

Fenway had other opportunity's to sell the site to big meat grinder forum owners. He chose Tex and his people for this specific reason. So we could keep the basic feel of Ingo the same. Tex allows the staff here a very wide area to operate. He is on board with what we want to keep.
Yes it is a business. It takes money to keep the lights on. And yes it is for profit. No knock on that either.

If Fenway had gone the absolute big money way Ingo would not be even close to the same place.

That's not a viable business model.
You never know what the rank & file dust heaps of middle America are going to latch onto as a fad or a cause.

No one could have predicted pet rocks, beanie babies, fidget spinners, neck beards, etc.

Probably a business model of creating the websites for little or nothing, seeing which gets a following of people willing to part with cash,
(Shot Gun Effect, try everything, see what pays)
    Or,
Then selling the forum names to larger groups or the companies that produce the copyright protected name of products for large profits.
Internet site names duck under the copyright & trademark laws, and if the manufacturers want the name they have to buy it from the owners of the site.

The 'Speculator' in Delaware that bought up a bunch of firearms in anticipation of Hillary Clinton being elected is another in a long string of speculators going under.
This guy had nearly a billion dollars borrowed invested in inventory, and not only didn't Clinton get elected, but retail prices dropped and he can't sell fast enough or for enough even pay the interest & storage, so bankruptcy courts are auctioning off the inventory.

    On the other hand,
It might just be an internet guy that likes firearms and this is his related hobby.
It's pretty easy to get a forum going if you know what you are doing. My buddy has a hot rod business and he started a forum, took the IT guy 3 days to get it up & running with the correct software...
Once you have the software & server space, you can create as many as you want...

Does anyone have any 1911 groups that they would recommend, not on that list? I have been on 1911Forum for a long time.
