My wife's knee is giving her more and more problems. It's getting to the point that she can hardly bend it. Anybody have a recommendation?

    .
My girlfriend had knee problems once.
I just chopped the legs off an old chair. It seemed to help.

I've had great luck with the Docs at Methodist Sports Medicine in Carmel. Your insurance will probably dictate what you can do & where you can go. Good luck!

Give me some more info. Where’s home? Wanting to stay close by? Any previous injury? Or previous surgery? Age?

Kokomo, but we are willing to travel since the majority of Kokomo doctors are morons. She had a surgery years ago to repair some torn ligaments. We can go anywhere in St. Vincent's network. Outside the network, we just need a referral.

Dr. Kurt Martin, Greenwood Orthopedics. Put my wife's kneecap back together and her wrist. Dr. Kevin Julian, same office, did my son's ankle after a on the job injury. Both did top notch work. Surgeries were done at Community South.

Not a recommendation but a story to relate.
My left knee was hurting so much I thought I was going to be toast, permanently disabled.
The knee doctor said he could either operate on it or I could hurt until I gave up and got operated on.
I stuck it out, didn't get operated on and it got better.
Now I can walk and run. Sometimes aspirin or naproxin is a good idea.
It was a cast iron kitty until it got better, but it got better.

    Where do you live?
I am 76 and a lot of knee wear and my mother knees were bad.
I go to a doctor in Orland park, Il.
They inject a fluid (almost painless) into my knees with a two inch needle.
It has been a great help. It only take about 15 minutes and about 30 minutes office time.
I say "almost". They inject a anesthetizing agent. Sometimes they move a bit to fast.
It is like getting a mosquito bite.
When they remove the needle. There is absolutely no discomfort.
You walk out with new knees.
It is also fully covered by Medicare and or insurance.

    Rookie,

About a year ago, my wife had her knee replaced at Lafayette Orthopaedic Clinic by Dr Daniel Daluga. We were very pleased with his care, compassion, and skill in the surgery. Her recovery has been better than expected.
