I'm retired and no longer need a windows computer for work. My HP notebook died a while back and I bought a Chromebook. Works great for most everything I need, until recently when I wanted to use a genealogy program. (I can use my wife's desktop machine but I prefer not to work on her desk and mess up her paper organization.)

I am looking at basic windows desk top to run the "Legacy Family Tree 9.0" genealogy program. Anyone have experience with a Fry's or Best Buy's refurbished computer? I am open to suggestions for genealogy programs for Chromebook. I have yet to find anything but a mediocre android app. Thanks
