While sad, it is not ironic.

Sad, but according to the major news networks, a "white supremacist" breaks into a gun free zone and shoots less people than were shot on the streets of Chicago last weekend makes more news than two who died trying to put an end to inner city gun rampages. And those two in addition to others killed and scores injured.

A good guy with a gun would have come in handy.

Not even sure how it's possible to get to a point where you have such a low regard for life to be able to kill with such a cavalier attitude.

I suspect it's easy when you live from day to day with nothing to lose. Most of us live with one eye on the future, sometimes years into the future. We can't comprehend doing things like that because of the impact it would/could have on us, our families, and our future. This is of course ignoring any moral implications one may or may not have.
