In two weeks, my beard will be a year old. I've sported some sort of chin covering since I graduated h.s. in the 90's. But I never really just let it go. So Labor Day 2018, was the last trim I did.

    Here's what I have.

I prefer butter on my bread.

Congrats on the beard. A couple more years and you'll be eligible to tour with ZZ Top.

I'm actually getting ready to trim mine.

I've only shaved it completely off once in the past 20 years, but I can't tolerate it when it gets longer than about 3/4 of an inch. Probably because of all the grey in it these days. Which is sad because I'm not even 40 yet.

I've shaved one time this summer. Mines probably 1 1/2" long. I wont shave again till spring, if I do it then. It gets cold working outside in the winter

Still waiting for mine to come in so I could grow more than a scroungy goatee with a few strays. I'm coming up 55. I'm beginning to wonder if it ever will.

I've had a beard since freshman year of college. short trimmed full beard except for going to a goatee for a couple years in the late 1990s. My barber of 45 years retired and my new one is a young cool hip cat. So now my hair is cut with a slight fade, swooped back on top, and the beard is growing out at the chin. I really like it, lengthens the look of my face. The chin's almost as long as the OP's but it is shaped down to shorter sides.

    Beards Rock.

Just passed the one year no trim mark on my “yeard”. I use oils and balm grime either Luxurious Bastard or Grizzly Grease. Gonna shape it up a little and let it roll.

I keep mine trimmed up for good reasons.
Never was a grizzly Adams kind of beard but what I got back after Chemo/radiation is a mere shadow of what once was.

Mine went down the drain like it does every morning. I waited until about 10 to shower this morning and I could feel it. Started driving me crazy. Keep my face smooth as a spanked baby's bottom. Although I did have a moustache from about age 20 to age 42. Shaved it off for a halloween costume (clown) and never went back.

I usually have a beard from October through March. Last year I added a month on both ends. Don't know what I'll do this year.

I have shaved mine off only 1 time since Halloween 1979. That was a couple years ago when I did that. My adult kids had never seen me without it. Next day started all over again. But I keep mine short and trimmed.
