I was wondering how many military pilots and aircraft maintenance people we have out there. What aircraft did you or do you fly or work on?

I was an avionics tech on A-4 Skyhawks with VMA-211 Wake Island Avengers and VMA-214 Black Sheep from 85-91 at MCAS El Toro and West Pac 87 with 211 and West Pac 88 with 214.

Well, after my Infantry tour I worked on M61 Vulcan guns for the Army and the associated radar and tracking system. I understand it is the same gun used on a lot of fighter aircraft. Not a pilot but flew on many Blackhawks, Chinooks, C-130, C-5, C-141 and couple of times on Huey's and once on a KC-10.

I spent a lot of time riding in the back of C-130's, C-141's, UH-1's, Blackhawks, and Chinooks, but usually left the aircraft before they landed. Airborne All The Way!!!! 83-98

82-88, Aviation Ordinance did not work on the birds, just made them little more deadly. Spent most of my time on CVN-65, G3 weapons

When the C5's darkened the sky over Augusta, GA, I knew it was time to go pack. Does that count?

I've gone to the Pensacola Naval Airstation the past couple of years to watch the Blue Angels practice. That's all I've got. I salute all of you that made them fly, one way or the other. :patriot:
