I think their problem was adding in the “pork.” Two pools, new softball field, new band area, etc. If they said it was for routine maintenance, teacher salaries, etc. then it wouldn’t be facing the challenge that it is.

Schools have plenty of money. It's not our fault they can't manage it properly. Look at what the administrative overhead costs are, and I bet you can find plenty of pool money there.
