It's that time of year again, when I feel the need to advocate for my favorite charity.
I don't give to just any "charity", but this one gets my attention.

If you don't know, "Toy for Tots" is run by the Marine Corps. reserves, and they provide Christmas presents to under-privileged children who might otherwise not receive any gifts,

You can donate money to the site above, or look for the donation drop-boxes at your favorite retail stores and the like.
They ask for new, unwrapped toys.
I give to this particular charity every year, without fail.
Some years it's more than others, but I always give.

    What say Ingo?

Always try to donate at least 2 toys every year. Definitely a worthwhile cause

The boxes won't be out long.
I believe they are collected like the first week in December so they can distribute them in time for Christmas.

Our veterinarian runs a special that you get a discount on a heartworm test if you bring in a toy. We have two dogs. We took in at least a dozen toys. I buy them whenever I see them on sale and then just keep them in a box in the garage. Got some good Playskool and Melissa and Doug stuff for 70% off this year. Also picked up some toys for 80% off when Shopko closed.

Spouse and daughter have a good sized box full of cool toys. Like Snapdragon they shop. Professional shoppers actually. They will get them delivered.
No way we miss this one.

Great charity! I try to donate at least 1 gift a year. I also give something to the humane society each year around this time (I'm a dog lover).

My little Leatherneck volunteered through Single Marines 29 Palms last Christmas during Toys for Tots Nov-Dec. He was going to do it again this year but he just left on monday for a deployment.
I always buy a new boys bike and donate it. I dont do the Poker Runs anymore.....

We did a couple of the runs when we still rode. Very rewarding.
