So I brought a good friend of my up hunting to my place in Michigan. He has never hunted before so this was he first. We sat in a pop up ground blind together tonight and about 5 minutes before dark out steps a beautiful 8 point. Being a good host I let him take the shot despite not getting a deer yet this year. he dropped him at about 75 yards!
He has the audacity to come up hunting for his first time ever and dropped a bigger buck than I have in my 20+ years of hunting our property!!
I was all smiles though he and couldn’t have been happy. He is hooked on hunting and can’t wait to do it again and I have a new hunting buddy. that’s worth more than the deer to me....though he better share some backstraps!!
