I was just told I could have one of these, if I uninstall it and block the holes!
I can't find much info. on them other than the fact that they were bought out in the 1980's by Buck stoves.
I did find one little blurb that said after purchasing Cawley wood stoves, the owner of Buck stoves said the Cawley was the top of the line of it's day.
It appears to be patterned off of Ben Franklins design by looking at the exhaust.
The model 800 was the largest stove they offered.
There are depictions of wildlife on the front, sand on both sides.
It has a very generous front door, and even has a huge door on both ends!
Cleaning it looks like it will be a piece of cake.
I also found it to be rated at 50,000BTU.
It's a great looking stove, although I'll need to find a burner grate for it.
I actually have a grate that a friend gave me, but have no idea if it will fit.
It will be a couple of weeks before I will get my hands on it, but suffice it to say, I'm excited!
I love freebies.
