Did someone look at what just happened at Pearl Harbor and say that sounds like a good idea? The Pearl Harbor story dropped Quick because it didn’t help the agenda.

Sure wish people would get their stuff together and stop pulling this nonsense. I get tired of reading the news bc it is so overcoveraged to death. I know there are no 1 shot solutions but I sure get tired of the calls for an awb etc after every shooting.

I guess Gibbs or Ziva (NCIS) aren't there to stop an Active Shooter! Agreed very over reported. I was at Pensacola NAS in 80's and they had armed SP's every gated entrance. Did they unarm their SP's?

Kind of surprised that SD responded. Why not Shore Patrol? Back in the day when we lived in base housing at NAS Boca Chica SP responded to all calls. The locals had to wait for an SP escort to perform their duties. I'm guessing SP is no longer armed?

US official: Naval Station shooting suspect was Saudi aviation student; authorities investigating if terrorism-related.
They are also looking into whether the Joint Base Pearl-Hickam shooter and NAS Pensacola shooter are connected in any way. Hell theyre gonna look at everyone and everything six ways from Sunday about these two shootings.

Impossible as military bases are gun free zones.

Wait, military bases are gun free zones? Can't trust the military to carry a firearm? We have both Bush1 and clinton to thank for making our fighting force a target of opportunity in the homeland.

The report I saw on Fox earlier said SP and SD work together on certain things and this is one scenario they have joint trained on

They don't have Shore Patrol, per se, in CONUS anymore. They have rent a cops augmented by active duty personnel, some on shore duty and some on temporary duty. It all falls under base security. Shore patrol is used to control liberty parties in foreign ports and is made up of ship's company that are in a duty status.
