Well, that's not really why there is going to be a culling. That's just "journalists" telling their preferred story and not the truth.

In other news, Global Warning is reason 1000+'s of feral hogs, prairie dogs, nutria, and Everglade pythons are killed each year.

Yes, the global warming spin is pure BS. Australia has long conducted culling operations on a wide variety of introduced species, many of which that are far less invasive than camels. They even make use of a large scale systematic poisoning program for some species.

Just introduce some large predators and let nature handle it.

If some people get munched as well... that's just part of living in Australia.
Wolf, dingo, spider, shark, snake, take your pick.

So... Aussie's are killing an invasive species, and NOW we care? They have been culling them by the many tens-of-thousands for decades. Before global {things are changing} even became a thing.

Looks like droughts are becoming less frequent and of shorter duration and no worse severity, while anomalously high rainfall events are becoming more frequent and of greater excursion from the mean

California-like situation where desert ecology plants grow rapidly when water is abundant, dry and die when it is not, and provide plentiful fuel for the burns?

    Could be anywhere
With most of Ausiland being on fire they won't be able to kill enough camels to offset their needed carbon credits anyway. Of course they've already burned more than a million animals off so maybe it will balance out.
