I have a drip

Garden tub with a Delta fixture is dripping. I'm guessing one of the cartridges needs to be replaced but can't narrow it down as there is no shutoff for the tub. Since i have to shut off the whole house anyway I'm going to replace both but what else should i expect to go wrong when i try to replace them?

In all seriousness, we just remodeled our bathroom at the start of the year. I wouldn’t worry too much about what could go wrong until it does go wrong if you’re only wanting to replace those. You should be fine, but unless you’re wanting to replace more I wouldn’t worry about it

When you fix it, install a shutoff.

If you have the model number, and time to wait, Delta will probably send you the parts for free.

Don't forget to change out the washers and springs in the base below the cartridge.

Shut off the main. Lowes has the cartridges. I paid 4 or 6 or 8 bucks. Easy peasy. Oh I think I had to use a strap wrench to unscrew it. But I already had one.
