'Multiple people' dead in shooting at MolsonCoors campus in Milwaukee

...Multiple people are dead in an active shooting incident Wednesday at the MolsonCoors headquarters in Milwaukee, Mayor Tom Barrett said.

A large police presence was on scene at the beer company's MillerCoors campus and in a statement on Twitter, the Milwaukee Police Department asked people to stay clear of the area. Barrett confirmed to NBC affiliate WTMJ that multiple people had died in the incident, but it is unclear how many.

"There are multiple people who have died, I believe including the shooter, and we will have more information in the next several hours," Barrett said...

    Horrible to hear.

At the risk of speculating, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that guns are prohibited from the building. They probably even have a sticker on the door and a "no weapons" section in the employee handbook.

Signs have force of law in Wisconsin? Yes. Employer can prohibit carry on the job even out of State. Para b referenced below is their parking lot law. My money is on GFZ.

(15m) Employer Restrictions.(a)Except as providedin par. (b), an employer may prohibit a licensee oran out−of−state licensee that it employs from carrying aconcealed weapon or a particular type of concealedweapon in the course of the licensee’s or out−of−statelicensee’s employment or during any part of the licensee’sor out−of−state licensee’s course of employment.

Why would someone shoot up a water making factory? :dunno:

Pure speculation, but I would bet it will turn out to be either a workplace or a domestic dispute.
There is no making sense of something like this.
Rational people do not carry out such acts.

It takes a mentally disturbed person to do such things.

Mayor Barrette is rabidly anti gun. I had a pistol stolen from me that was recovered by Milwaukee police. Everything on my end was legal, and the gun was not used in the commission of a crime. I tried to get it back from them and after a few months I contacted a lawyer about it. He told me it was not worth the money I would spend to get the gun back. It was about a $600 gun. And when I got it back, it would be in such bad shape that I would not want it. They engrave the case number into the gun, and beat the heck out of the finish.

Sorry to hear about the people at the factory. Awaiting the next push for "common sense" gun laws.

The shooter was fired this morning. Somehow managed to steal another employees badge to regain access to the plant.

GFZ signs, useless. "Security" measures, laughably easy to defeat. Shooter murdered without resistance until he got bored and blew his brains out.

Mandatory Victimhood Zones strike again. Compliance gets you nothing but a bullet.

Which is why I will always do everything I can to circumnavigate any security measure(s) present, but only in the name of self-defense.

My wife was on the phone with a lady in the corporate office yesterday, when the Molson lady had to get off the phone quickly. My wife didn't know anything more till we got home last night. She hasn't heard from her contact yet, but the campus is closed for the rest of the week.
