    Just saw this a couple minutes ago. My Dad is a huge Prine fan. I know he had health problems in the past.

    Yep, had 2 bouts with cancer. I saw him years ago when we were all fairly young. Don’t remember much about the show other than he was funny and everyone was laughing when he would talk between songs. It was probably in the 80s or early 90s.

    I saw him at the Ryman about ten years ago. It was really good. He had a lot of stories, knew a lot of people. Always had a good band with him as well.

    I loved John's music. It was the soundtrack to many stages in my life and helped get me through some tough times. Rest in Peace John, and thank you.

    I'm still sad about this, loved his music, discovered it while in the USAF in the 80's, got me through some tough times, he sad alot with the words God gave him!
