Not small, I65 and US 50 go and through there. I’d guess 15K population. It’s bigger than Brownstown or Medora.

We are possibly going to look at a Truck for sale , next weekend. I was curious about area, and if there are the usual assortment of restaurants?

    Thanks
Standard fare if you stay on 50. Everything is spread out as far as fast food, but the sit-downs are more on the east end of town by the interstate. Anything in particular you crave, can direct you to a few mom & pop places.

I grew up and lived in Brownstown until my early 20s. Stay on Hwy 50, aka Tipton street, and you'll find the typical variety of chain restaurants, especially near I65.

The Tenderloins at https://townhousecafein.com/ are really good.

Larrisions is a 50's diner type place. https://www.larrisonsdiner.net/

Rockford Place on SR11 (N. Ewing) north of town is an older drive-in that is decent.

Mr Beefy's has been setting up in the shopping center parking lot. They have beef tips, taters, onions & mushrooms. Usually only see them at Oktoberfest.

    activites:

Starve Hollow Recrecation area and Skyline Drive near Brownstown. About 15 minutes west of town.

Muskatuck National Wildlife Refuge just east of town, off of highway 50.
