Getting close to breakfast time. Gonna have to have the leftover sausage gravy over toast since I used the last of the biscuits for breakfast sammiches yesterday.

That 2*s aint man. Once you get there (70*s) the cycle count is about the same as 72*s. It is there for your comfort man. Be comfortable. Lifes too short. Pony up the $10 extra bucks to cool it off at night. How much is a solid nights sleep worth to you.

I remember putting a new system in for an older couple. Tight as paint on a house. They started counting the cycles and called me all the time about that.

Me....Ok, its 90+ outside so yeah it is going to run.

Them....but it did not run this much a week ago.

Me....It was 75* outside a week ago. SDo yeah iuts not gonna run as much.

Them....we need you to fix it. It runs too much.

Me....what is the stat set on and is it maintain that set point in the house..

Them.....68* and yes it is holding there.

Me....are you freaking kidding me. Loose my number please.

A programmable thermostat would probably be nice too. Mine's electronic, but not programmable. 72 feels wonderful when it's pushing 90 outside during the day time.

I have went to great lengths no to be my step dad. His idea of normal was Stalag 13 level existence.

Being frugal is OK and I get it. But he was insane about it.

Yeah, I'm not to that point. And really I'm not all that frugal. It's just that I'd rather spend my money on fun stuff. Dad would've probably had a cow if he knew how much I've got invested in guns and ammo.
