There is a Mecum Auction next week in Indianapolis. I have a real interest in one of the cars that will be selling next Saturday. If I decide to bid I need to know what a fair market value is. Wondering where/how to find current wholesale/retail value ?

The car is a 2011 Camaro SS RS convertible one owner with 826 miles.

If you have access you might run a nicb on it?

Clean retail on that car is $18,000. My guess is the seller wants way north of that.

Yup hence its in the Meccum.

Remember people it costs up front to put your car on the block. When I sold mu 64 Malibu SS it cost $500 up front and a 10% sellers fee off the hammered price.
Auctions are no place to think KBB will be a factor. It only takes 2 competitive people bidding on the same car.

Agreed, but the OP was asking for fair market value, Wholesale / retail.
    Not auction value.

    KBB is a good start.

I get that. If he needs a realistic stopping point makes sense.
And there is no set auction value. They may list something but the bidders set the high water mark.
