I was driving through this area at about 7:20. Lots of police presence, northbound lanes completely closed, and lots of markers on shell casings.

Too close to home. I shouldn't be surprised though since my nieghbors think it's ok to shoot guns into the ground on the back side of the apartment building. Moved from 71st and Michigan area to Perry Township thinking it would be a safer area and it definitely isn't. Nothing like a five yearold picking up a shell casing just walking to the van....

Brother all of that stopped when the feminazi's chased the Marlborro man off the ranch and into the sunset. We have been emasculated by the left and all of the half men on the right who's wives keep their packages in their purse.

THIS ^^^ sums up the problem in one sentence, perfectly. There is a vocal minority of people screaming, most of us know to keep our mouths shut or get cancelled, and they're making excuses for the lawless behavior, blaming capitalism, systemic racism, poverty, everything EXCEPT the people actually committing the crimes.

This also plays into the hands of the gun control crowd. ZOMG! Violence coming to the suburbs! We have to do something! It's for the children! Won't anyone think of the children? So, the legislature ends up "doing something."

And there are some REAL sketchy apartment complexes not too terribly far from this spot.

I also believe there was a shooting in the Buffalo Creek apartments, too. Generally speaking, they're NOT sketchy. That's just another 1.5 miles south (and where I used to live).

So now I watch the back yard for mountain lions and the street for rolling shooters while trying to dodge covid, man I am stressed!
