I was thinking (dangerous for a Sunday morning).

In 7 months, I haven't heard of any reported school shootings.

The solution to school shootings appears to be: No school.

All the guns are still here. In fact, there are 100's of thousands more than there were in March. Yet, no school shootings.

Anyway. I found that to be an interesting point on this fine fall day.

Yep, not many soft, sensational targets around when there are no large gatherings.

I will add another thought... it seemed to me that mass shootings had already ceased to be a thing before Covid hit. I attribute it to having a President that downplayed them instead of making them front-page news day after day. JMHO, but whether or not the shooter will make headlines really does make a difference in how often it will happen.

I definitely think "No Notoriety" has the right idea about mass shootings. Stop naming these guys. Stop feeding the fantasy for the next one.

Kids today are all about getting famous even if for the wrong reasons. One of the downfalls to the increased attachment to social media and the participation trophy crowd.
