I was listening to an interview with Dave Stewart on the radio today and they played some cuts from his latest album called "The Dave Stewart Songbook Vol. 1". I decided to check out the rest of the album. If you've ever been a Eurythmics fan or a fan of Dave's later work, I highly recommend giving it a listen. There's some new stuff there, but there are several covers of old Eurythmics songs that have been re-arranged and modernized.

It's very rare that there are enough songs on an album to make me want to purchase the whole thing, rather than one or two tracks. The last one was "David Gilmour Live at the Royal Albert Hall" in 2006. I picked up the Dave Stewart 2-CD set in MP3 format from Amazon.com's MP3 store for about $17.

You can hear some samples at [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Dave-Stewart-Songbook-Vol-1/dp/B001CN5RP2/ref=dmusic_cd_album?ie=UTF8&qid=1221262921&sr=102-1"]Amazon.com[/ame] or at the [ame="http://www.thedavestewartsongbook.com/"]website[/ame] for the album. I recommend listening to "Sweet Dreams" and "This Is The World Calling" if nothing else.
