I wish them luck. Something tells me even if they win, the slime in crook county will still figure a way to violate the rights of the citizens of the entire state, but I wish them luck.

Good luck, but even if you win, you lose. Considering that Chicago has thumbed it's nose at the US Supreme Court, and there have been no repercussions, even if you win it doesn't mean that the state will go along with the ruling, or all counties, or all cities.

The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Yeah right!

I hate that I have to go through Il when going to my daughter's in Colorado!... Illinois what a Commie state!
Do what I do when passing thru to see my son in Arizona; Stop at their rest stops and only use the toilets (flush a couple times to cost them more water) then when I get into Missouri I rearm, gas up and get some food. I'll spend my money in a free state. (Another thing that irritates me about IL is after driving at 75 and 70 in the normal states the idiots have a 65 mph limit. I hate that because I usually travel that at night on my way home.)

How come we can all see how Illinois law clearly and plainly violates the constitution, but the law-makers in Illinois can't? Or... How is it that those people who can see that, choose to blatantly ignore it?

Things are heating up even more. Today the NRA, ISRA and Mary Shepard filed a similar suit in federal court. Mary Shepard 71 years old at the time with an 84 year lady were attacked in their church and beaten and stomped almost to death in 2009. She had formal firearms training and posessed two non-resident permits to carry which are useless in Illinois. She still has not completley recovered from her injuries. More can be found at

I think I figured out how to post these things now, Jim.

I have heard of more and more people plain ignoring the ban and if they have a license, permit, etc from other states carry in Illinois anyway and have lined up defense representation if busted using the 2nd Amendment, unconstitutional situation as a defense..

More power to those who stand up for their rights even if it costs them some...

I just don't understand as most of us how it is "legal" to be unconstitutional..

It's because there is no need to carry in Illinois. There's no crime in that state. :):

Seriously, I hate even driving through that state. I know most down state people would like to spin off as a new state and let Chicago and it's suburbs swim in their own filth and pay their own way.

Illinois is controlled by criminal socialist politicians, mostly from Crook (Cook) county. They control a combine that is made up of gangsters, unions, RINO's and tax eaters. Mike Madigan has been running the show in Springfield for decades. He should be pleased with himself for bankrupting the state. Quinn is a buffoon who does as insdtructed by Madigan, Daley, and now Emanuel. Sadly, Crook county and its liberal environs produce enough votes, legal and illegal to keep this disaster going.

I'll add this analogy: Illinois is a ship that's keeled over. We have to wait for yet another election cycle (3.5 years) before it is possible to get leadership to right this ship.
I'm not a TAXEATER, therefore I can't afford to wait that long.
