Murat theater security?

Going to a show at the Murat. They have a "no guns" sign on the door. Do they wand or pat down? Any info would be appreciated.

Last show I went to they didn't have wands
My wife got in with her pistol in its hidden pocket...when they opened her purse to check it...they obviously didn't see it
I was carrying IWB and got in without any trouble
Although it wasn't a huge show either

I haven't been there in a few years but the last time I did they just asked for everything out of pockets to inspect. There was no pat down or wanding.

Been there twice, if you do the valet parking where you come in the side, they check your ticket and let you right in.

My experience with the front doors was they opened the purse of the girl I was with and looked for any visable signs of me carrying but no wands or pat downs.

I carried IWB and didn't notice even the pocket emptying request or looking in bags. You should be fine. Especially with winter jackets.

Their "inspection" seems to be more geared toward sneaking booze in than firearms. At $7/beer, I see why.

Ill be going through the VIP door next week, trying to figure out if I can carry IWB here. Also, anybody know where a good hotel would be that is close to the Murat?

I had no issues coming in the VIP door with my pocket holstered TCP 380. YMMV.

Thought I'd update. I went last night for a rather small show to see the Plain White T's with the lady. We bought our tickets online, went in through the front doors. They visually checked her handbag, no wanding, no pat downs. I went in with my Glock 19 in an OWB Ghould & Goodrich holster with the shirt pulled over it.

We ended up staying afterward to meet the band and somehow Tim, the lead guitarist, and I started talking about firearms for five minutes. Good times.
