I know you can't carry in a shipping port, but what about locking it up while in one? I work in the port of Indiana in Portage, and my employer doesn't allow firearms on premises but don't know if its because you can't have a firearm in the port or not. Any help would be appreciated.

Giving this one a bump. The Indiana port/shipping yard is part of the IAC. So I'm assuming that it like the State Fair, if you get caught it confiscation and escorted out but not jailable offense.

Hey, I know who you work for.:D

"Locking it up" (I grok what you mean) may be an exception to the LTCH requirement or the federal umbrella, HOWEVER it does not matter if the firearm is locked up, field stripped, wrapped in layers and layers of bubble wrap, etc. in a no go zone (excepting recently school property).
