Why doesn't the boy claim self defense and get cleared that way? This is a clear case of self defense. He only fired the pretend bow and arrows, after another student fired a pretend gun at him.

I wish more parents would start taking this route if they are going to continue to keep their children enrolled in the government schools. The encroachment of school authority into what had historically been absolute parental authority is made possible only because parents let it happen.
