What is the "security" process at Taft Theater in Cincinnati - wand, pat down, visual check?

Not sure about the Taft but signage is law in Ohio if caught.

Procedure was show ticket, asked "are you carrying a pocketknife?", then walk in.

Saw them talking with a guy who had a roll of duct tape (it was the Red Green show, after all).

Taft website says "no guns / weapons", but I did not see any sign at the entrance. As I understand Ohio regs, they must have a sign for it to have the force of law. Am I mistaken?

I don't remember any security at all the two times I've been there.
